Hobbies/Interests
Outside of the new hospital, I love going to the theater to see plays and musicals, trying new foods in restaurants, and visiting galleries and museums. I also enjoy yoga, painting, photography, and watching movies on my couch.
Travels/Languages
In medical school, I've been to Mulukuku, Nicaragua, and Limbe, Haiti for medical mission work. As a result of my medical school travels, I've picked up a bit of Spanish and Creole. I learned French in high school and studied abroad in Paris, France, during college. Other places I've traveled to include Mexico, England, Italy, and the Bahamas. I also lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, when I was in the third grade (my mom is Canadian).
Like About Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
I came to Pittsburgh for an away rotation during my fourth year of medical school, and I was immediately impressed with how nice and supportive the residents were, as well as how the faculty focused on teaching residents and students. So far, I've found this to be true of residents and faculty now that I'm an intern. In addition, Children's Hospital itself is a beautiful, colorful, and patient-/family-friendly place to work.
