A Message From the Chair

It is a great honor and privilege to present the annual report of the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC for the fiscal year 2010 academic year. In it we report on our faculty’s many wonderful accomplishments, but it is very important to point out that these accomplishments also reflect the exceptional support we receive from Children’s Hospital and UPMC and the terrific collaborations that have developed with the faculty and staff of the other departments at Pitt. Once again, I hope you will enjoy reading about our activities and you will get a sense of the very special feeling we have in Pittsburgh as we deliver clinical care, education, and research to benefit infants, children, and adolescents.
