James, Emily M., MS
Emily M. James, MS is a Genetic Counselor in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's Division of Medical Genetics. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Penn State Erie: The Behrend College in 2005. She received her Masters of Genetic Counseling in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh. Her graduate research examined the need for genetic counseling for psychiatric disorders. Emily is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
Currently her clinical focus is pediatric genetics with a special interest in neurofibromatosis and tuberous sclerosis.
