Hemophilia Program
Children’s hematologists also work closely with the Hemophilia Center of western Pennsylvania to provide innovative treatments and comprehensive care for both children and adults with hemophilia, one of the most severe bleeding disorders. Since hemophilia is a lifelong problem, Children’s hematologists work closely with physical therapists, social workers and family members to help children learn to manage their disease as they make the transition to adulthood.
In addition to the Sickle Cell Program and the Hemophilia Center, Children’s Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology provides exceptional patient care through our Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Program and our Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program.
