How to Apply

The Child Neurology and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD) program has openings for 2014 and will start interviewing for these positions beginning in October 2011. Qualified applicants applying for both Pediatrics (2012) and Child Neurology/NDD (2014) will use ERAS. For Child Neurology/NDD, applicants should copy their completed MyERAS application, and mail a hard copy to the AUPN. Please visit the AUPN website for complete instructions.

Interviews

The interview process will be arranged by Child Neurology or NDD for qualified candidates so that candidates may interview with both programs on consecutive days. Program coordinators for pediatrics and Child Neurology/NDD will contact you about interview dates once all of the application information has been received and reviewed. An interview is a mandatory part of the application process.

The Child Neurology/NDD interview is a full day in length and includes a welcome by the program coordinator/program director, interviews with Child Neurology and NDD faculty, tours of the hospital and clinics, lunch with the residents, and an interview with the adult neurology program director. For those who can arrive in Pittsburgh on the evening prior to the interview, there is a dinner with the Child Neurology/NDD residents.

Pediatric interviews are also a full day in length. Get further details.

Applicants who wish to become board-certified in Pediatrics, Child Neurology, and NDD will be required to complete specific rotations in Pediatrics during the two-year training period. The requirements can be found here.

We encourage applicants to apply by September 30, 2011.
