Whether it’s a painful fall that results in broken bones or an accidental poisoning from a household cleaning product, few children manage to get through childhood without at least one trip to the Emergency Department. But most Emergency Departments are ill-equipped to handle pediatric traumas, and the consequences can be devastating.
