Hobbies/Interests

Anything musical - which currently takes the form of listening and attending concerts, but  I have played piano and flute for many years, directed ensembles and sang in a'capella groups. Outside of music, I enjoy animals and ocean life, SCUBA  diving and reading. I try to spend time with family and friends as much as possible... most gatherings involve sharing some kind of yummy food.

Travels/Languages

Most of the US, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, France, San Salvador (Bahamas), St. Maarten. I'm originally from Allentown Pennsylvania but have spent a great deal of time in West Haven, Connecticut and Washington, DC.  I have been practicing my Spanish for many years but am far from fluent!

My significant other is currently starting his residency in OBGYN out in Detroit, but I have my cat to keep me company here in Pittsburgh.

Like About Children�s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

The people! I spent a month during medical school on a rotation at Children's, and was so impressed by how friendly, knowledgeable and helpful everyone was. Both the pediatric and psychiatric residency programs are strong, making for one of the most well-balanced triple board programs. I also enjoy the city of Pittsburgh, and exploring all the different neighborhoods and cultural offerings... from Fallingwater to fries on sandwiches, there truly is a greater variety here than I expected!
