Current curriculum for the pediatric graduate enrolled in the fellowship is as follows:

 

Year 1:

One-month rotation Toxicologyº – Pittsburgh Poison Center

One-month rotation PICU – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Two week rotation anesthesiologyº – Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

One-month rotation adult emergency medicine – UPMC Presbyterian

One-month rotation Child Advocacy Centero

Five months pediatric emergency medicine – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Three months research
   

 

Year 2:

One-month rotation trauma – UPMC Presbyterian

One-month rotation EMS – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC / UPMC Presbyterian

Seven months pediatric emergency medicine – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Two-week ultrasound rotation – Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Three months research
   

 

Year 3:

Six months pediatric emergency medicine – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

One-month rotation adult emergency medicine¹ – UPMC Mercy / Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC

Two-week ultrasound rotation – Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

Five months research*

º Reduced call (call equivalent to ED shifts)
¹ Call-free
* Fellows can complete a call-free elective during one of their research months.
