Teen Volunteer Summer Program (Summer Only)
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC offers a Teen Volunteer Summer Program for individuals who are 14–17 years old. Teens must have turned 14 by January 1. The program runs from mid-June through the end of August. Teens must make an eight-week commitment over the 12-week program (one shift per week, three or four hours per shift, depending on the assignment). Selected teens are trained and assigned to areas such as patient transport, activity centers, and waiting areas.
Applications must be completed online and are accepted between February 1 and April 13, 2012. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be eligible for the program.
