Children’s Presents Kid-a-Palooza — A Family Festival With Entertaining and Healthy Exhibits For Kids of All Ages

The 8th annual Kid-a-Palooza Family Fun Festival presented by Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. It’s the perfect reason to get the kids out of the house as they await the end of winter. Thousands of families are expected to attend the festival, which will include exhibits, indoor rides, crafts, games, sports and special character appearances.

This year, Kid-a-Palooza includes more than 100,000 square feet of booths at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The exhibits will offer a mix of interactive entertainment, important health information and lots of giveaways for the entire family.

Children’s will host a number of exhibits throughout the festival, which are designed to promote health, wellness and safety for families. Among the Children’s-staffed booths will be:

  • Children’s Weight Management and Wellness Center team, where kids can create their own healthy “trail mix.”
  • Hand Wash Hygiene Display, where kids can see germs in a
new way, under the glow lights.
  • Safety Corral, where kids will be fitted for and given a new bike helmet, courtesy of Kohl’s. Children’s experts also will offer safety tips, including car seat safety and Mr. Yuk giveaways.
