Children's Hospital Presents Kid-a-Palooza – A Fun Festival with Entertaining and Healthy Exhibits for the Entire Family

Pittsburgh, Pa. - February 23, 2007 -


WHAT:
The 7th annual Kid-a-Palooza indoor festival presented by Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC comes at a perfect time – between winter holidays and spring blossoms. Thousands of families are expected to attend the festival, which will include exhibits, crafts, games, giveaways and special character appearances.

This year, Kid-a-Palooza has expanded to include more than 100,000 square feet of booths at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The exhibits will offer a mix of entertainment and important health information for families.

Among the many exhibits offering health and wellness information for families are several focused on promoting healthy lifestyles through proper nutrition and exercise, as well as getting fit as family. These booths will be staffed by the experts from the Weight Management and Wellness Center at Children's.

Other attractions include (activities are subject to change):

  • Indoor rides
  • Toddler play area
  • Cartoon Camp – meet your favorite characters
  • Live entertainment
  • Sports zone
  • Creative corner
  • Safety Corral – Children's experts offer safety tips including car seat safety and Mr. Yuk giveaways

TICKET INFO:
Ticket prices are as follows: Adults = $9, kids ages 3 to 11 = $6 and children 2 and under = free.
