WHO:

Announcement of new collaboration - TECHS, Team Educators for CHild Safety. The group’s mission is to reduce childhood morbidity and mortality related to motor vehicle crashes. State Farm Insurance will present TECHS with a check for $10,000 in support of their efforts and dedication to providing car seat safety checkpoints to the public at no charge.

WHAT:

Press conference at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to announce the new TECHS group, demonstration of proper car seat safety and check presentation. The group is designed to increase the knowledge base of parents and caregivers regarding proper installation of child safety seats, to educate the public concerning the use of booster seats and to encourage adult safety belt use.
