Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Names New Vice President and General Counsel
Lorina W. Wise, Esq., named to Vice President and General Counsel position
Pittsburgh, Pa. -

Lorina W. Wise, Esq. will assume the position of Vice President and General Counsel for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh effective, June 1, 2005.
Wise has been with Children's since 1998 and has served as Associate Counsel for the hospital and Corporate Secretary for Children's Community Pediatrics.
Wise is replacing Rhonda Comer, who will be leaving Children's to take a position at Children's Hospital of Columbus as Sr. Vice President and General Counsel. Comer began her career with Children's as a staff nurse before leaving to practice law. Comer re-joined CHP in 1997 as its first General Counsel and founder of the Legal Services Department.
Prior to Children's, Wise served as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Pittsburgh Law Department where she represented the City in employment and labor matters, a Staff Attorney with the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Justin M. Johnson of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
Wise is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the Johns Hopkins University.
"Lorina is a very talented and dedicated individual, and has been a great asset to Children's since she began here in 1998. She has more than 20 years of diverse legal experience," said Roger Oxendale, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children's.
Wise is affiliated with the Allegheny County Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and National Bar Association and admitted to the state and federal Bar in Pennsylvania.
She lives in Pittsburgh with her son, Jordan, 16.
