World-class specialty pediatric care provided by the experts at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is now much closer to home for families of central Pennsylvania.
Children’s Hospital Specialty Care Center Johnstown opened recently within Children’s Health Center, 1322 Eisenhower Blvd., Johnstown, PA 15904.
Pediatric cardiologists, neurologists and surgeons from Children’s will travel to the Johnstown center to provide outpatient services on an ongoing basis including diagnostic evaluations and follow-up care to families throughout central Pennsylvania.
Children’s plans to expand the services being offered at the center to include pediatric specialists in fields such as diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and weight management.
“Our physicians in these specialties are among the leaders in their fields, and we are delighted to bring their expertise closer to home for residents of central Pennsylvania,” said Roger A. Oxendale, Children’s president and CEO. “This center allows us to respond to the growing need for pediatric specialty care in communities like Johnstown and Altoona. Children’s is committed to providing the best care possible to the families of this region right in their own backyard.”
