Why Pittsburgh?
Taking care of children has always been my passion, but it was not until I cared for children with neurodevelopmental concerns that I discovered how truly rewarding a field pediatrics can be. I chose NDD during my pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after being exposed to this diverse, challenging and resilient patient population. I am excited to be joining a program with physicians who care so deeply about their patients and their families. I look forward to working with the faculty and staff of the Division of Child Neurology and the Child Development Unit at Children's Hospital, in both the clinical and academic setting; the program is full of educational, research and career development opportunities that will help me become an excellent specialty physician.
I have loved working at Children's and living in Pittsburgh – over the past several years, both have become my home. Pittsburgh has some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and a small-town feel, but with the amenities of a large city. The most amazing part is that seven years later, my husband and I are still finding restaurants, parks and museums we have yet to explore.
