Biography Summary
Miya Asato, MD, received her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. She completed her pediatrics and child neurology residencies at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, and her research fellowship in neurocognitive development at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Her current research centers on the effects of pediatric epilepsy on brain function. Dr. Asato is the program director of the Neurodevelopmental Disabilities residency program and associate program director of the Child Neurology residency program. She also is co-director of the LEND Program of Pittsburgh, funded the Health Resources and Services Administration.
