Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Classification
Protocol Description
This comprehensive Children's Oncology Group study will gather data on patients newly diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with a goal of creating a standard classification system to help determine patient assignment to specific-treatment clinical trials and correlative studies and to create a leukemia and germline specimen bank for use in current and future research. Determining the subtype of ALL can help to determine the type and intensity of therapy to best treat the disease.
Eligibility Criteria
This multi-center group study criteria is for male and female patients up through age 30 that have been diagnosed with ALL.
Boys: All ages
Girls: All ages
Requirements
In connection with routine diagnostic procedures, when blood or bone marrow is collected for evaluation, a small sample will be collected for research studies and cell banking. Throughout the course of treatment, samples will continually be studied to track the progress of treatment.
Visits: None beyond normal clinical care
Duration: Not applicable
Status: Open for Enrollment
