Community Outreach
Using a community-centered approach, the Pediatric Environmental Medicine Center (PEMC) of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is dedicated to improving asthma care and outcomes in children. The center works with local communities throughout western Pennsylvania to better understand environmental issues affecting childhood asthma.
The PEMC seeks to develop and offer educational programs in collaboration with local communities. Educational workshops can be provided within various community settings and tailored to meet the needs of specific audiences.
