Eye Injuries
Black eye:
- Apply ice.
Eyeball cut or impaled:
- Call ambulance.
- Do not press on injured eye.
- Do not use medication.
- Do not remove any object impaled in the eye.
- Gently cover both eyes with eye pads and secure loosely with rolled gauze.
Chemical splash:
- Flush eye from bridge of nose to outer edge of eye with running water for at least 15 minutes.
- Call ambulance.
- Gently cover both eyes with eye pads and secure loosely with rolled gauze.
