Family Forum Vision, Mission & Values

Vision
The Family Forum’s vision is that, by recognizing that families are full partners in the care of our children, we support Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s goal of becoming the leader in family-centered care.

Mission
The mission of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Family Forum is to partner with hospital staff to bring the voice and perspective of parents and families to the hospital. Members of the Family Forum work to promote the practice of family-centered care, advocate for children and their families to be full partners in their medical care, and improve quality and patient safety at Children’s Hospital.

Values
Members of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Family Forum believe:

That the family is the primary advocate in the life of the child and the repository of key information about the child
