Halloween
Halloween is a lot of fun. But to keep having fun, it’s important to be safe. When you’re out trick-or-treating, make sure you follow these rules:
- Always trick-or-treat with an adult. Never trick-or-treat alone.
- Carry a flashlight and a bright-colored trick-or-treat bag.
- Be very careful when crossing streets. (See Street Safety.)
- Walk on sidewalks, not in yards.
- Don’t run. Trick-or-treat in neighborhoods you know at homes of people you know.
- Do not eat any treats until you get home and have them checked by an adult.
- Never eat any candy that has loose or open wrappers.
- Wash all fruit and cut it into pieces to check it before eating.
- Never trust anyone you don’t know or recognize.
