Handwriting Without Tears Camp - PreK Camp - Wexford

Event Description:

Handwriting is an important part of every child's development. Handwriting begins with scribbling and progresses to forming lines into shapes, creating pictures and forming letters. The letters then tranform into words, which become sentences.

Today, children are expected to develop handwriting skills before they enter kindergarten. The Handwriting Without Tears program was developed by Jan Olsen, an occupational therapist. This is a developmentally based program that progresses a child's handwriting along with a child's visual skills, providing your child with the necessary handwriting skills to be successful in school. Camps will be held at Children's Pine Center in Wexford and led by an occupational therapist.
