Our Services

Hospital Volunteer Program

Our Hospital Volunteer Program is our core volunteer program. We have a variety of roles available seven days a week ranging from direct interaction with children such as reading a book or playing a game, to assisting families find their way around the hospital, or providing other general or administrative support to the organization.

Becoming a Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC volunteer is a serious commitment. We ask a lot of our volunteers. From securing the necessary clearances and background checks, to completing orientation and multi-step training, to fulfilling annual ongoing requirements, our volunteers invest fully to assure that our patients and families are surrounded by a safe, knowledgeable team of volunteers during their hospital experience.

There are many benefits to becoming a Children’s Hospital volunteer. Please visit our Volunteer Perks webpage for a list of some of the benefits and opportunities available to our current hospital program volunteers.
