How to Apply

The Residency Program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We require a curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, a dean’s letter, and official grade transcripts. Applications are prescreened, and an invitation for an interview will be sent to selected applicants. Once an interview invitation has been extended, it is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange for an interview date with the residency program coordinator.

An interview is a mandatory part of consideration for a residency position. Interviews will be held two to three times per week starting in November and ending in January. The interview is a full day in length and will include a welcome, morning report, tours of the hospital, lunch, and a question-and-answer session with the house staff and program director(s).
