Biography Summary

Dr. Meza was named radiologist-in-chief of the Department of Pediatric Radiology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in April 2005. He had served as assistant radiologist-in-chief since 2003.

Dr. Meza has served as the director of the Pediatric Radiology Residency Program, including the ACGME-approved fellowship program, since 2000. He was promoted to associate professor of radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in February 2005. He also serves as consulting staff at Magee-Womens Hospital and The Children's Institute, both in Pittsburgh.

He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Pontiac, Mich., and a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Detroit. He joined Children's in July 1991.

Dr. Meza is a member of several notable professional organizations, including the Society of Pediatric Radiology, the American College of Radiology and the John Caffey Society.
