The Arrhythmia and Rhythm Disturbances Program’s EP lab is part of the Heart Institute’s cardiac catheterization lab.
Our highly trained staff uses state-of-the-art equipment and offers the entire range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including:
We conduct more advanced testing — such as transesophageal and intracardiac EP studies — to help diagnose complex or persistent arrhythmias.
Catheter ablation uses an electrical current to destroy a small amount of heart tissue to fix arrhythmias.
RCFA has greatly improved the quality of life for children with:
We also assess and care for children who suffer from fainting (syncope) that might be from a heart defect or autonomic dysfunction.
Our program's team works with the cardiothoracic surgery team to perform heart pacemaker implants.
We care for more than 150 children with pacemakers and monitor them with remote interrogation and in-person device checks.
