Description of Services

The Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC), formerly, the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC), provides the opportunity for physicians to investigate childhood diseases in a controlled environment using specific research protocols.

The PCTRC is located on Floor 3 of the Administrative Office Building at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, accessible via the pedestrian bridge from Floor 3 of the main hospital building. 

The PCTRC has facilities capable of accommodating both inpatient and outpatient settings. It is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Research Resources, headquartered in Bethesda, MD.
