Pediatric Nursing Research - Charting the Course for Growth
Research Conference Call for Abstracts
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC extends a call for abstracts in the areas of Evidence Based Practice, Nursing Research and Nursing Quality Improvement to nurses who specialize in pediatrics for the upcoming Pediatric Nursing Conference on Friday, July 23, 2010. Abstracts are welcome for oral and poster presentations in the following categories:• Pediatric nursing research
• Pediatric evidence-based nursing practice
• Pediatric nursing quality process improvement
Pediatric nurses in the university, hospital, community, and school settings are encouraged to submit projects or studies. All abstracts must be received by March 1, 2010. Submissions should be limited to one, 8 ½ x 11, single spaced page, in either Times New Roman or Arial 12 font.
Submissions should include the following headings:
• Problem or Purpose of Project/Study
• Review of the Literature/Best Practice Standards
• Implementation Strategy
• Evaluation
• Outcome
• Implication for Nursing
Abstracts will be reviewed by the selection committee and judged on clarity, accuracy, and relevance to nursing practice. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by March 15, 2010. A 6 foot wide by 4 foot high cork board will be provided for poster presenters. Poster presenters are responsible for set up and take down of accepted posters on the day of the conference.
Accepted poster abstracts and oral abstracts will be printed in the Conference program.
