Like About Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

I think the best part about Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is the people, from the care coordinators, to the nurses, residents, fellows and attending. We work with some of the most renowned physicians in the country who are therefore some of the most amazing teachers and role models. One thing I've learned over this past year from these fantastic physicians is that as pediatricians we have the opportunity to take care of not only children, but also their families. There is definitely an atmosphere here at CHP that our role in a family's life and their experience during one of the most difficult times in their lives is a gift and a responsibility. Even in my intern year, I am still excited to come to work every day because it still amazes me that I have been entrusted with probably the most important person in a family's life. That is something I've learned from being surrounded by the physicians here at Children's. I came here specifically for the Neurodevelopmental Disabilities residency program, which is another very unique opportunity at CHP. But the reason I enjoy going to work every day is because of the fantastic friends and role models I have found here who can make even stressful times fun and worthwhile.
