Biography Summary
As a Behavioral Health Consultant in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics / Child Development Unit (CDU) at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Stacey L. Munsie, MSW, LSW, is an integral member of a group of specialists in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics / CDU. This group of specialists includes developmental/behavioral pediatricians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, behavioral consultants, and trainees who help parents understand their child's developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs often making specific recommendations for supportive services in the community.
Ms. Munsie is experienced in providing diagnostic evaluations for children with behavioral and developmental needs including a broad range of issues such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, emotional concerns such as anxiety/depression and social difficulties. Her role also includes making appropriate recommendations for supportive services in the community and through the school to meet the individual child's and families' needs.
Ms. Munsie is a licensed social worker. She has been a member of the Child Development Unit since 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by a Master of Social Work degree with Mental Health Specialization from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work.
