Treating Common Injuries

Sprained ankles, broken bones and nosebleeds can be as much a part of childhood as fairy tales and nursery rhymes. In fact, many kids can’t seem to get through the day without a scrape, bruise or bug bite of some sort.

In this section, parents will find helpful precautions and effective remedies for treating common childhood injuries, including bites and stings, bleeding, poisoning and overheating, as well as information on when it is appropriate to drive to the emergency room, contact your pediatrician or call 911.
