Treating Tumors with Cixutumumab

IMC-A12 In Children with Relapsed or Refractory Solid Tumors

Protocol Description

This multi-center Phase II trial is studying IMC-A12, called cixutumumab, in treating young patients with solid tumors that have recurred or not responded to treatment. Researchers will study how the body processes the drugs, potential side effects and benefits.

Eligibility Criteria

Subject to certain screening requirements, this study is enrolling patients of both genders up to age 30, who have a solid tumor that has come back after treatment or not responded to treatment.
Boys: All ages
Girls: All ages

Requirements
Participating children will receive intravenous doses of cixutumumab over 60 minutes on days 1, 8, 15, and 22. Treatment repeats every 28 days for up to 24 courses in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
Frequency of visits: Weekly
Duration: About 22 months
