The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine provides diagnostic and treatment services for young adults 10 to 26 years old in an age-appropriate setting.

Physicians and advanced practice practitioners provide both primary care and consultative adolescent medicine services. Care is provided for general medical problems and those particular to the developing adolescent and young adult including:

Referral from a primary care provider (PCP) may be required depending on the patient’s insurance. If required, the referral and authorization forms should be received before the patient’s visit.

Parental permission is not required for the evaluation and treatment of sexual health concerns, including family planning, STIs, pregnancy testing, and initial evaluation of mental health, alcohol, and other drug problems. Adolescents and young adults are eligible to receive these reproductive health services with no or minimal charge regardless of insurance status.
