Application Process for July 2014 Positions
The application process will be initiated through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our program is listed under University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Medical Education Program. Applications can be submitted from November 15, 2012 to December 31, 2012. Paper applications are no longer accepted. Interviews will be offered between January, 2013 and March 31, 2013.
Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The Rank Order List deadline will be May 15, 2013 with Match Day occurring May 29, 2013.
Fellowship Application Eligibility Criteria:
- MD (Medical Degree) or equivalent
- US Citizenship, Canadian Citizenship, or permanent resident status in the US is preferred.
- For Non-Citizens: We will consider applicants who carry J-1 visas on a case-by-case basis (please email your CV for review).
- Expectation of satisfactory completion of requirements for Certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC participates in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). You must register with the NRMP and provide us with your NRMP number.
- Need to obtain a Pennsylvania Graduate Medical Training (MT) License prior to starting. This is not the same as a license to practice medicine (MD). You will receive instructions on how to apply for this approximately 6 months prior to the start date (the State will not provide applications to anyone, only a hospital or university).
Completed Application Includes:
(register via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS))
- original medical school transcript
- dean's letter
- three letter of recommendation, including one from your Residency Program Director or Department Chairperson
- USMLE Scores
- citizenship status or Visa status
- current photograph
- ECFMG certificate (International Graduates Only)
- NRMP #. Please register with the National Residency Match Program (NRMP): http://www.nrmp.org
- Pediatric Residency Completion Certificate (upon entering program)
