More prolonged EEGs can be done extending to four, eight, 12 or 24 hours. Facilities are available for CCTV video EEG monitoring in the EEG laboratory and at the patient’s bedside; however, these tests must be prescheduled.

Appointments can be made by calling 412-692-7833 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Emergency and portable EEG services are available by contacting the EEG laboratory, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Referral Requirements
Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children’s Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician. All necessary referral and authorization forms must be received before the patient’s visit. For accurate provider numbers or more information, please call our office.
