Fragile X Center
Description of Services
Far-reaching support for Fragile X syndrome.
Fragile X syndrome is the most common genetic cause of intellectual disability, affecting approximately one in 3,600 males and one in 4,000 to 6,000 females. The Fragile X Center at Children’s Hospital’s Brain Care Institute provides evaluations, treatment, and support for children with Fragile X and their families. Our clinic also offers additional consultative services for all age groups. Learn more about Fragile X.

Referral Requirements
Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children's Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician. All necessary referral and authorization forms must be received before the patient's visit.
