Committed to Research
Part of the Heart Institute's mission is to increase the overall body of knowledge about heart disease in children and for lifelong care. Recognized nationally and internationally, the Cardiac Dynamics Research Laboratory at Children’s Hospital’s Rangos Research Center was designed to provide an environment in which researchers and clinicians could work side by side to study clinically relevant cardiovascular problems. Each year, in addition to the Heart Institute’s attending staff, pediatric cardiology fellows, master’s-level students, and doctoral candidates conduct studies in the cardiac flow dynamics research lab. Their work has gained worldwide respect and recognition in the field of congenital heart disease.
