How to Apply

All applicants to either the Pediatric Residency Program (categorical) or the PALS Residency Program- Pediatric Advocacy-Leadership-Service (primary care) at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Applications are accepted and reviewed from Sept. 15 through Dec. 1. Applicants who are selected to interview will be contacted via email. Interviews are conducted late October through mid-January.
Applications must include the following:
- Complete ERAS application, including personal statement
- USMLE Scores – required from all applicants
- Dean’s Letter
- Transcript
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- Photograph for identification purposes at interview
International Medical Graduates must have the following in addition to the above:
- ECFMG Certificate
- One year, hands on clinical experience in the United States
