Master Plan
Lawrenceville Main Campus
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
|
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s main campus is located in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. The Children’s Hospital Master Plan, its long term vision for development, is undergoing its first update since the initial campus planning in 2003.
As a critical provider of pediatric care to the families of the region and beyond, our strategy is to focus on outreach and expand directly within the communities that we serve. In 2012 alone, Children’s expanded services in its locations in Monroeville, Johnstown, Wexford, Chippewa and Erie. Projects targeted for the main campus in Lawrenceville are thus limited and focused on anticipated inpatient capacity and research needs. Our Master Plan for the Lawrenceville main campus, which is required by the City of Pittsburgh, incorporates several projects targeting those needs.

Nov. 20, 2012, 6:30 p.m.
St. Mary’s Lyceum (45th Street in Lawrenceville - south of the hospital campus)
Children’s Hospital officials again invited members of the community to offer input as they update their campus master plan. In an initial community meeting in October, Children’s Hospital officials reviewed and solicited input regarding their 10 and 25 year master plan and their approach to a transportation study being conducted. This follow-up meeting recapped the components of the master plan and reviewed the results of the transportation study.
