Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program
|
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Medicine-Pediatrics Program aspires to prepare physicians for the new practice environment, which emphasizes the primary care of a wide variety of patients. In response to increasing educational emphasis on ambulatory training, we have developed a wide array of outpatient experiences for our house officers.
Residents receive comprehensive training in the care of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Our program also emphasizes preventive medicine, medical ethics, health care delivery and management of common psychosocial problems. Throughout the year, Med-Peds residents meet with faculty members to discuss programmatic issues and have their own didactic teaching sessions and social gatherings.
Contact the Pediatric Education office at 412-692-5285 for questions regarding our program or the application process. For more detailed information regarding our program, please visit www.upmc.edu or www.chp.edu.
