Diagnostic Expertise
Comprehensive tests for more accurate results.
Children can be difficult to diagnose, often because they are unable to accurately communicate their symptoms. At the Brain Care Institute, we use the latest neuroimaging technologies — designed just for kids — to identify both common and complex genetic and acquired conditions.
Neurological tests available through the Brain Care Institute:
- CT or CAT scan (computed tomography scans)
- Electroencephalogram (EEG)
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Electromyogram (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity
- Positron emission tomography (PET) scan
- Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA) scan
- Cerebral spinal fluid analysis (spinal tap or lumbar puncture)
- Evoked potentials
- Myelogram
- Ultrasound (Sonogram)
- Neurosonogram
- Magnetoencephalogram (MEG)
