About Children's
For All The Ways We're There To Help
Caring for Kids
Helping sick children to get well can be a tremendously rewarding career experience. If you've never worked in a pediatric environment, you'll find that Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has all the resources you will need to make a smooth transition into the field of pediatric care.
To begin with, we offer a customized orientation program that gives you plenty of time to settle into your new role. Using a combination of instructor-led training, online learning and one-on-one preceptor interaction, you'll find that we have all the right tools to help alleviate any concerns you may have about working in pediatrics.
On top of that, you'll find our Career Advancement Program (CAP) offers you the opportunity to increase your skills and move your career forward. Regardless of whether you are a graduate nurse just out of school or a registered nurse with 10 years of experience, the CAP program will help you achieve your career goals.
