Friday’s conference is informative and educational for physicians, psychologists, nurses, clergy, physician’s assis-tants, social workers, nursing home administrators, personal care home administrators, community members and others concerned with providing support to families when their loved one is sick. *CEUs will be available.

Saturday’s conference is informative and educational for community and family members who are interested in learning more about end of life care planning and decision making.

Registration Fee: $25. 00 * Includes Breakfast

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will demonstrate increased skill and comfort with advanced life care planning.
  • Participants will recognize positive coping strategies for patients, family members and friends as they deal with serious illness.
  • Participants will be able to identify strategies and guidelines used to speak with children of adult patients.
  • Participants will demonstrate increased skill and comfort in providing appropriate explanations and support techniques for children experiencing the illness of a loved one.
  • Participants will be able to differentiate between goals, expectations and hope when making medical decisions.
