A strong alliance of professionals.
The Brain Care Institute’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Service delivers an array of specialists in a variety of programs to provide diagnostic and empirically supported interventions for youth and families’ treatments through all levels of care:
- The Pediatric Behavioral Health Consult and Liaison Service (PBHCLS) is the main point of contact during inpatient admissions at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
- A network of experts from Children’s Community Pediatrics, the Child and Family Counseling Center, the Center for Independence, and Developmental Medicine provide community-based evaluations and evidence-based interventions in pediatric offices and at Children's Pine Center in Wexford.
- The Child Neurology Division, including the Epilepsy Center and the Headache and Movement Disorders Clinics.
- Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC, which provides a comprehensive range of subspecialty behavioral health services, including inpatient, partial day hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and autism spectrum disorder.
