Liver Program Highlights

  • Children’s has performed more pediatric liver transplants than any other center in the United States, according to the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients.
  • In 2009, Children’s performed more than four times the number of pediatric liver transplants than the average pediatric center in the country.
  • At Children’s, the three-year survival rate for pediatric liver transplant patients is 95 percent compared to a national average of 88 percent.
  • Children’s is the leading center for pediatric living-donor liver transplantation, performing 80 living-donor liver transplants from program inception through July 2010.
