The Safety Center Community Injury Prevention Award
The Injury Prevention and Trauma Programs at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC are pleased to announce The Safety Center Community Injury Prevention award for community members who put forth the energy and effort needed to take steps preventing injuries to children and teenagers in their community.
This award recognizes those whose career is not in the prevention field; yet as partners in prevention they accept the challenges of keeping kids safe. To nominate a person for this acknowledgement please review the criteria below and complete the attached form.

Criteria
- The job this person does for a living is not in injury prevention
- This person took/takes steps to keep children safe on a consistent basis or has done something extraordinary
- This person went above and beyond to keep kids safe; more than any average person might
- Others would also say the actions of this person should be recognized
We will contact you if we need additional information or clarification. Award ceremony will occur annually in the fall.
