High Risk, High Gain Research

Research performed by the Center is conducted at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the John G. Rangos, Sr. Research Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

These leading edge studies have the potential to positively and dramatically impact the lives of many ill children, both in the United States and around the world. However, the Center’s pursuits are considered high risk, making them less eligible for funding through traditional channels, such as government. Therefore, the work is funded largely by private donations from families who, in many cases, have been touched by the diseases that we seek to treat. Please consider joining us on our mission by supporting our work.

Tax deductible donations to the Center for Pediatric Surgical, Translational, and Regenerative Medicine can be made through the Children's Hospital Foundation by using our online form.
