Pediatric Environmental Medicine Center Researchers
The Pediatric Environmental Medicine Center (PEMC) at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC consists of a multidisciplinary team of top pediatric experts. The PEMC is led by Juan C. Celedón, MD, DrPH, a pulmonologist and genetic epidemiologist who also serves as the chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Dr. Celedón’s research focuses on identifying how environmental, lifestyle and genetic factors influence the development and severity of childhood asthma.
