Continuing the Quest for UTI Knowledge
|
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has been committed to expanding the clinical knowledge base about UTI for more than 20 years, as documented in published papers based on our progressive studies. Our insights have broadened the general understanding of UTI, helping to establish the current American Academy of Pediatrics’ guidelines for UTI diagnosis and treatment. Our highly accurate diagnostic criteria have enabled us to treat children as outpatients with oral antibiotics, rather than admitting them to the hospital for intravenous therapy.
Current Clinical Studies
At the UTI Center, the quest for UTI knowledge continues. Children’s current portfolio of clinical studies related to UTI research is shown below. Select a study to review a brief description and requirements. Parents or guardians of children who might be eligible are encouraged to inquire about studies open to enrollment. Contact information is listed at the end of each study.
Thank you for exploring these opportunities and helping us to find cures and prevent childhood disease.
