Virtual Tours

Whether you need to come to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC for a check-up, a special test or even an overnight stay, it might be helpful for you to see what it looks like. Below are links to “virtual tours” of a few common places at Children's Hospital's main campus in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh and at Children's North in Wexford, Pa.

Children's Hospital Main Campus

  • Exam Room
This is a place where a nurse or a doctor will come to see you for your check-up or for your appointment. Someone will take you here after you leave the waiting area.

  • Patient Room
If you need to stay at Children's overnight, you might share a room with another patient. This patient room is empty right now, but it gives you a good idea of what one looks like.

  • Nurses' Station
A Nurses' Station normally has a lot of people around. Nurses, patient care partners, respiratory therapists, doctors and residents can often be found at the Nurses' Station talking or writing notes. This tour is of the Nurses' Station on the Limited Stay Unit/9 North.

  • Playroom
Every patient floor at Children's has a playroom on it. A playroom is a place where patients who stay overnight can go to play with toys or read books. The nurses and doctors can come in a playroom, but it's a Medical Free Zone so they can't ask you questions about your health or do any tests. This tour shows you the Toys-R-Us® Playroom on the 10th Floor.
